Open Call for Contributions
OPEN CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
Greek Studies Now invites submissions for its blog and Book-Self sections. We publish work in the fields of Modern Greek Studies and Comparative Studies, broadly defined, and prioritise contributions that demonstrate a commitment to the practice of cultural analysis.
The blog section aims to take the pulse of ongoing research in Modern Greek Studies, offering a platform for fresh ideas, critical engagement, and intellectual experimentation. Our goal is to publish exciting new and exploratory research ideas, descriptions of works-in-progress, previews of forthcoming work, and out-of-the-box contributions that may not easily find a home in traditional academic outlets. The Book-Self section hosts presentations of recent and innovative books on Modern Greek Studies, written by the authors themselves. Usually, Book-Self contributions would outline the key arguments of the publication, the intellectual journey that led to the book, and any other feature the author would like to highlight.
We welcome submissions from early-career and senior scholars, whether affiliated with institutions or working independently.
Texts of all forms and styles of text are encouraged and should ideally range between 1,000-2,000 words, though longer pieces—particularly for the Book-Self section—may also be considered. All submissions will be reviewed by the editorial team and, if necessary, shared with specialists for additional feedback.
Submissions should be sent as a .docx attachment to greekstudiesnow[at]gmail.com, indicating in the subject your name and the intended section (blog/Book-self). You can find the formatting guidelines to follow on the right panel.
